Ano novo, defesa nova - Suns vence Pistons com bela atuação defensiva

Finalmente, o Suns mostrou um pouco de competência no setor defensivo e conseguiu uma vitória relativamente tranquila, por 92 a 75, sobre o time do Detroit Pistons que, mesmo sendo ruim e estando desfalcado do seu cestinha, Rodney Stuckey, tem muitos jogadores talentosos e capazes de marcar pilhas de pontos em segundos. É claro que não podemos ficar satisfeitos ainda com a campanha do time, mas esse jogo pode ser um ponto de virada para a temporada.

Hoje à noite o Suns enfrenta o Philadelphia 76ers em casa com apenas uma preocupação: vencer. Não existe outra saída para esse time do Suns, que vem jogando mal recentemente e experimentando uma queda livre na classificação. Após uma sequencia de três derrotas seguidas, o Suns está agora com treze vitórias e dezesseis derrotas (porcentagem de .448), na décima-primeira posição da Conferência Oeste. Isso significa não apenas que estaríamos fora dos playoffs, mas que também somos piores que o Memphis Grizzlies (14-17 e porcentagem de .452) e também não muito melhores que o Warriors (12-18 e porcentagem de .400). Na verdade, nós não somos nem tão melhores que o próprio Philadelhia 76ers, que venceram doze e perderam dezenove partidas, com uma porcentagem de vitórias de .0387.

Tonight the Phoenix Suns face the Philadelphia 76ers at home with only one priority in mind: win. There’s no other way out to this Suns team, as they’re struggling bad and experimenting a free falling in the standings. Right now, after a three game losing streak, the Suns are 13-16 (.448) and 11^th on the Western Conference. That means we would be not only out of the playoffs, but that we suck more than the Grizzlies (14-17 and .452) and we’re not that much better than the Warriors (12-18 and .400). In fact, we’re not a lot better than the own Sixers (12-19 and .0387).

Suns lose to Clippers and fall three games behind 0.50

It's a long season. As a fan of the Phoenix Suns, you have to keep reminding yourself that. And after the loss today, 108-103 to the Clippers at Los Angeles, the Suns find themselves three games behind .500 for the first time since I can remember. Fortunatelly, we still have 53 games on the season and we can (and will) perform better. I still think we're gonna reach the 50 win mark, but it'll take us playing much more better than we did today.
